Veterans Day 2023

Over 70 bowlers (including 24 from Bateau Bay), attended Bateau Bay BC to celebrate Veterans Day sponsored by Creighton's Funerals. The day started with a bar-b-q lunch organised by bowlers from Bateau Bay followed by a game of bowls and presentations.  Special presentations were made to two of our more senior bowlers - Paul Rogers of Bateau Bay BC and Tom Sheen of Breakers BC. Additionally, all bowlers in attendance were presented with BCC Veterans badges.

40 Bowlers turned out at Everglades for the annual Veterans Day. The oldest bowler at 87 was Ray Ransome. A game of bowls and lunch was enjoyed, followed by a few beers with a presentation of veterans badges, from Monica Wastle of Creightons

Veteran’s Day was held once again on Monday 7th August 2023 hosted by 3 clubs on the Central coast, Canton Beach Bowls, Bateau Bay & Everglades. Unfortunately at Canton Beach the greens were closed, so the bowlers did not get a game, but 54 bowlers still turned up to have lunch and receive their BCC veterans badge presented by Tracy Cook of Creightons. The oldest bowler there was 88 year old Ted Holmes of Munmorah.
