Congratulations are extended to Bernd Schoenfeld and Ross Hancock of Canton Beach Bowls for winning the 2022/23 Veteran's Pairs.
Playing at Terrigal Bowling Club under sunny skies Bernd and Ross played a very close final against Wally Cook and Dick Thornton of The Entrance. The scores were close all through the game. However before the last end Bernd and Ross had built up a lead of 3 shots. Not to be denied, Wally and Dick won the last end by 3 shots to force an extra end. In the extra end, the lead change multiple times but the consistently good bowls of Bernd and Ross came to the fore and they won the game by 2 shots.
Thank are extended to the Host Club, Match Committee Chair Garry Ellis and his committee and to the players who agreed to play two matches on the Tuesday to avoid bad weather that was predicted for later in the week.
