BCC wins 2017 Pat Geary

In a monumental effort the BCC Open Representative Side won the last game against Zone 2 (Newcastle) by sufficient points to win the Trophy. Playing at Soldiers Point on the 12-13/08/2017 the BCC Side had a loss on the first morning to Zone 6 72-79 but won 81 to 67 against Zone 14 in the afternoon. To win the event they had to defeat Zone 2 on the Sunday morning by more that 11 shots. After 40 ends they were trailing by 15 shots. Then in a massive turn around the side steeled themselves to win the last 44 ends by 48 to 12.

It is true that yours truely was staffing the score board untill the 40th end then handed over the honours to the Newcastle pair and on seeing the turn around of the scores refused to go back on the board until the match was won.
