Ettalong Pair Win the 2019 Veterans Pairs

Ettalong's Kim Byrnes and Chris Roberts played outstanding bowls to win the 2019 Veteran's Pairs as far more fancied pairs continued to fail throughout the championship.

Kim and Chris won the final 18 to 10 against Mooney Mooney's David Snow and Mathew Lynch who had a big win in the semi-finals 17 to 8 against The Entrance's Trevor Hillard and David Buttery.  Kim and Chris also defeated a The Entrance pair in Neil Williams and John Krenich 24 to 10 in their semi-final.

Pre-Tournament favorites to fall in the first round included Davistown's Richard Love and Peter Andrews as well as Terrigal's Lindsay Adamson and Tony Swaine.   The 2nd round saw the demise of high profile pairs from The Entrance in Neil Pombart and Graham Canobie, Ron Armitage and Michael Bell, as well as Miro Perovic and Dick Thornton who lost in very close games.

BCC's appreciation is extended to The Entrance who hosted the event impeccably with their greens playing superbly.  Particular thanks are extended to David Buttery for organising the games.
